EA-Afterwork at Zamenhof
As summer draws to a close and vacations wind down, it's time to reignite our passion for positive change with an Effective Altruism afterwork in Gothenburg! Join in the 31st of August 17:30 at Zamenhof by Esperantoplatsen and get to know other people in Gothenburg interested in effective altruism, for an evening where meaningful discussions about changing the world blend seamlessly with the city's finest refreshments, proving that making a difference can be as satisfying as it is impactful!
And if you would find yourself needing a breather from potential over-theoretical conversations and repugnant conclusions, then Zamenhof got you covered with some ping-pong, air hockey and other games to indulge in. 😏🏒🏓

AGI Safety Fundamentals program
The AGI Safety Fundamentals Program is a student-led program examining approaches to AI safety. The program especially focuses on the value alignment problem—how we can robustly align an AI to understand and follow human values. Topics include AI interpretability and explainability, reward learning, recursive reward modeling, existential risk from AGI, careers in AI safety, and more.
The seminar program is organized by Effective Altruism Gothenburg. It is based on a curriculum by Richard Ngo, a researcher at OpenAI. The curriculum can be found here: https://www.agisafetyfundamentals.com/alignment-insession-readings
